The most colorful harvest festival in Lucban, Quezon City in honor of San Isidro Labrador is celebrated every 15th of May.
The term originated from “Hiyas” which means Jewel and “Pahiyas” means a precious offering.
In line with this, houses lining in the streets exert their efforts to make their homes as colorful as possible, serving as the main attraction of the festivity. Decorated with fruits, vegetables, rice grains and various agricultural products like their famous kiping (colored leaf-shaped rice paste) that makes every tourist visit the place annually.
And who would ever forget the most delicious longganisa (Filipino sausage) in Lucban? Hanging in the streets ready to entice your eyes (and stomach).
